Cuppy cuties

I'm addicted to Cake Boss. I know a lot of people probably are and with good reason! Buddy and company are wonderful bakers and each cake they make looks great and I bet, tastes absolutely divine!
Seeing as I won't be working with polymer clay anytime soon (I work real slow so this takes up too much time away from baby Z plus I worry that the fumes might get to the baby) - I decided to learn how to bake! As in cake flour, chocolate, and mixer kind of baking lol. My husband was thrilled with the idea since baking edible goodies is something he could benefit from (read: eat!) and so I started looking up classes.

I joined a cupcake baking workshop at a place called Chocolate Lovers - sounds delish right?!

The baking portion was pure demo by the Chef but we did get to play around with the cupcake decorations :) I have to work on piping the icing but I really like the colors that I used for my cupcakes.

It was so much fun! Can't wait to start baking!

What's in a bag?

When I found out that I was pregnant, one of the things that I was really looking forward to was shopping for the perfect diaper bag. What can I say? I'm big on bags! I don't mind spending on a bag as long as it can carry all of my things and will last me several years.

Now what are some of the things to consider when looking for the right diaper bag? Personally, I wanted something that didn't scream diaper bag (read: no cartoons or animals on the front or those awful floral patterns!) and a bag that had many pockets to keep everything organized.

I really wanted one from timi and leslie, their diaper bags are so stylish yet practical!

Their diaper bags are a bit expensive though and of course, you can't find them here in Manila :(
See what I mean? I could so use this for work and no one would think its a diaper bag!

My husband also wanted a diaper bag that he could carry and not look ridiculous at the same time (again those animal cartoons and floral patterns can be quite overwhelming) and fortunately I found the perfect one!

This is from Skip*Hop and it's great because both your arms are free since its a backpack, just sling the straps over your shoulders and you're good to go. I love how it still looks stylish because of the vibrant red color. It has a diaper changing mat, the lining is water-resistant, there are a lot of pockets to store things and pockets for the bottle both outside and inside the bag.

My sister-in-law gifted me with a JJ Cole Collections diaper bag and in terms of fit, this one has the most space and pockets. I love the easy-on-the-eyes color and the fact that you can carry it in so many ways: It has the 2-piece shoulder strap, the long strip of strap similar to a messenger bag sling (I really know the technical terms don't I?) and the stroller attachments which you clip to the sides of the diaper bag.

See those stroller attachments on the side of the bag and all those pockets inside? Plus it comes with a diaper changing mat with the same print. So cool!

Finally, I also got a Carter's diaper bag as a gift from my cousin. It's like a big satchel made of super soft cloth. It can fit a lot too but it doesn't have that many pockets and it doesn't stay upright since the bottom of the diaper bag curves.

If you want a soft bag then this is it!

All of these bags have water-resistant lining, they each have their own diaper changing mat and they all have compartments inside for the bottles, wipes and other baby essentials.

I'm over the moon with my diaper bags! Now that baby Zoe is out, I've been able to road-test all three and they held up so beautifully: the backpack is perfect for quick trips, the green bag when I have to bring a lot of baby's things and the purple satchel for in-between.

I still would love a timi and leslie diaper bag, though. Haha!
